Because subterranean termites are living deep underground, it is almost impossible to reach their nest to eliminate the colony. Also the termites you normally see are workers and soldiers and are only a small portion of their colony; killing them does not improve the situation. The common methods of treatments are traditional chemical barriers and termite baiting.
With barrier treatment, it will create a chemical barrier around your house foundation so that the termites will not be able to enter your house. Normally it costs more ($1000-$2000 for average house) and it will use large amount of termiticides around your property. Barrier treatment normally requires special equipments and is normally done by professional exterminators. However, it does provide good protection to your property. With baiting solution, the target is to eliminate termite colonies in your yard so that no termites can attack your property. The cost is normally lower and you can do it by yourself. However, the result can vary with the different solutions available. It can also take quite long time for termites to find the baits and it requires your patience and regular inspection during treatment. Due to lower cost, baiting solutions are also used as preventative treatment, which people use even no termites are found in their yards.
Our solution is also a baiting solution which targets at colony elimination. It can be used alone or it can be combined with barrier treatment.
